Tuesdays MeAn HeaLtH & FitNesS

Over the last 10 years I've put on a ridiculous amount of weight. I think it's time to work on that. 6 or 7 years ago I was diagnosed with Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), which makes losing weight very difficult. Since then, I've been quite discouraged and not tried very hard to take better care of myself. The time is now. (If any of you, out there, have been diagnosed with PCOS and have found great ways to lose weight after diagnoses, I would love to hear your tips.)
Lets take this journey to together! I have at least 100 pounds to lose, which is a daunting number. I'd really just like to take it 10 pounds at a time. What about you?
I'm, also, of the, "take it slow," mentality. This week I'd like to work on drinking more water. I used to be so great about only drinking 1, 10 oz. can of Diet Dr. Pepper a day. After marrying my Mountain Dew drinking husband, that little rule went out the window. Now, I'd like to cut back on whatever amount it is that I have been drinking and make sure I drink a minimum of 64 oz. of water a day.
Wish me luck. I'll let you know how I've done, next Tuesday.

Mondays EquAl FaMiLy

The Can Can Clan

To me my family's everything
We have a lot of parts.
We're somewhat untraditional,
Here's how we got our start . . .

Mr. Can Can fell in love with a special lady
Together those two crazy kids had two special babies.

Can Can wasn't Can Can yet (still Shu shu to those she new)
And lived far far away
The time would come and fates align to bring that happy day.

Shu Shu met a different man and married him
Thrilled to be a wife.
What she didn't know is after two sweet baby girls
She'd have a different life.

Mr. Can Can had to say goodbye to his special lady
Then moved on to someone else who's more than just a little crazy.
Gratefully one good thing came from someone so very lazy
A bright light in Mr. Can Can's life, another wonderful baby.

Shu Shu met another man, a wolf dressed in sheep's clothing.
Though she escaped the wolf, out of the darkness came a gift,
A beautiful little munchkin who's healing powers were swift.

Now all the kids were born and fates could now align
Mr. Can Can and Shu Shu could meet for the first time.

The two were matched in matrimony,
But that doesn't end the story.
In fact we have to add some more to explain all of the glory.

Two more kids came into the lives of the Can Can clan,
Although they aren't related they feel like they've always been.

Mr. and Mrs. Can Can are filled with so much love
They can't wait to bring more children down from Heaven up above.

Now you know our story and though it's not the end
It's been a great beginning, all of which is a God send.

Introduction

Hello world. Let me introduce myself. For purposes of privacy, you will all know me as Can Can. I am mother of a sweet, rambunctious, loving, beautiful, 10 year old, tween, (RM).  When RM was 2 and a half, I had my second daughter CJ. Sadly, 10 days before her first birthday she passed away from SIDS. While she is gone from this Earth, she is never far away.  There isn't a day that passes when I don't think of her, and I often feel her presence.
A little more than two years after CJ's passing, her father and I ended 7 years of marriage and 9 years together. It was a very painful experience, but has been such an incredible blessing.
While still trying to heal from the loss of CJ and a divorce, I managed to get pregnant with my third daughter (SN). She is now a darling, incredibly expressive, smart, beautiful, 3 year old. She has truly healed my heart in so many ways.
Only a few days after SN turned 1 I met my husband Mr. Can Can and fell in love with him and his family. He brought into the relationship a daughter (JR) who is now 19, a son (JT) who is coming close to turning 17, and another son (LW) who will soon be 7.
We have been so surprised how well we have been able to blend our families, but of course, not without some drama. Mr Can Can and I are not into drama, but it seems to follow us wherever we go. I guess that will happen with 3 ex wives, 1 ex husband, and 1 ex baby daddy. The Lord must truly love us for giving us the strength to deal with such things.
Now that you know a few things about me, I'll give you an idea of what this blog will be about. On each day of the week, I will share with you my thoughts about something to do with my theme for the day.
